Dr. Crowe and Dr. Yaillen are partners in caring for their patients at Yaillen Orthodontics. They believe in evidence based dentistry and providing their patient families with the best care possible. Although Dr. Crowe only recently joined Dr. Yaillen at Yaillen Orthodontic Group, they have been teaching together at OHSU since 2009 and are both members of the Angle Society (an elite, invitation-only small group of international orthodontists).
And here’s something that should make you smile: while many orthodontists are not board-certified, Drs. Yaillen and Crowe are. Far beyond a dental degree or a license to practice, board certification and study club membership takes a whole lot of extra work and knowledge. Just the kind of work Drs. Yaillen and Crowe love doing.
Dr. Daniel Yaillen
Dr. Dan Yaillen is always smiling. Always. And, what’s not to smile about? He founded Yaillen Orthdontics in 1979 and after five decades, he’s still having more fun than ever. He’s treating the third generation of many local families and feels so lucky to have that privilege. He stays on top of current practices and has been teaching his philosophies at OHSU for the past 35 years.
When he’s not at the office, he spends his time traveling and exploring with his loving wife, Rainey. He’s even created a network of orthodontists all around the world. Everyone at the office enjoys hearing his stories and lessons learned from his travels.
Dr. Jennifer Crowe
A lot of things make Dr. Jennifer Crowe smile: her rambunctious little boys and wonderful husband, “nerding out” about dentistry with friends, and, especially, the opportunity to help the great people of PDX.
Dr. Crowe completed her orthodontic residency at OHSU, where she still remains very involved. Even with running her practice, she still manages to find time to teach there. Not only does this allow her to give back, but it also helps her stay current in her field. She’s a big believer in research and practicing evidence-based dentistry. She also enjoys participating in research projects through the university and has lots of published articles.
When she’s not here with us in the office, Dr. Crowe can be found teaching at OHSU, exploring the outdoors, traveling, or spending time with her husband Jeff and two boys, Jax and Bryce.
Dr. Crowe has a lot of reasons to smile for real.
